About Me
Dallas R. Reese Jr. is a multidisciplinary writer, musician, and cultural commentator whose work integrates historical research, theological reflection, and the arts. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Appalachian State University and has over three decades of experience in media, performance, and public engagement.
A native of Concord, North Carolina, and currently residing in Hilton Head, South Carolina, Reese is an accomplished singer-songwriter whose music spans Americana, country, folk, pop, and rock. His lyrical work is marked by narrative richness, emotional depth, and a consistent concern for truth, beauty, and meaning.
Alongside his musical career, Reese is a committed student of American history and Christian worldview formation. Drawing on his own ancestry—he is a descendant of Revolutionary War South Carolina Patriot Officer Lt. Colonel James Steen—his research and writing often explore the moral and spiritual foundations of the American experiment, with particular attention to the influence of Christianity on public life, human dignity, and national identity.
Through his creative and scholarly pursuits, Reese seeks to engage contemporary audiences with the enduring questions of faith, culture, and character in an age of fragmentation and forgetting.
