Dallas Reese is from Concord North Carolina, home of Charlotte Motor Speedway. He started playing piano in 3rd grade and slowly progressed from John W. Schwaum books to Billy Joel/Elton John/Jackson Browne and others. His first taste of the power of music came in high school when as a sophomore he played piano for friend & vocalist Chris Peigler-together they ripped out Neil Young's Hey Hey My My (Out of the Blue)Into The Black and it was on..they won 3rd place in the school wide talent show and together forged their first band of many. The following year Dallas was voted a senior superlative, most talented at Northwest Cabarrus High School. He went to college and promptly picked up a guitar his freshman year, because he thought guitar players were getting more girlfriends than piano players. He ended up finishing 3rd in the Mountaineer Talent Search a couple years later, when he switched back to piano and vocals. After graduation he went to summer classes at UNC Charlotte and won the Kast Campus Talent Show there and then starting performing acoustic gigs around the southeast USA. In 1989 he moved to Nashville and performed there for about 4 years before returning to his hometown area of Charlotte, NC. He put together successful regional touring bands and continued playing solo gigs and was voted Best solo acoustic performer in Charlotte in 1996. He was also named Best Nighttime Radio personality in Charlotte in 1998 when he was on air 7pm till midnight on WRFX 99.7 THE FOX. He expanded his radio career to include work as an on air personality and production/imaging director and Program Director in Greensboro, NC, Raleigh, NC, Morgantown, WV, Augusta, GA, Columbia, SC and Daytona Beach, FL.
